Play Vision supported Bowls Scotland with the broadcast of their 2025 National Championships, covering all eight days of the event for the first time. Play Vision was responsible for the production and distribution on behalf of Bowls Scotland and BBC Scotland.

Highlights of our partnership:

 

• First time all eight days of the National Championship were broadcast, with 23 live matches going out live across YouTube & Facebook and four finals were shown live on BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website. 

 

• This accumulated to more than 42 hours of live coverage from the National Centre for Bowling in Ayr.

• The production included remote-controlled PTZ cameras at each end of the rink and an operated camera in the centre of the green, as well as an on-site commentary facility.

​

• Play Vision introduced more detailed on-screen graphics with additional information, replays and picture-in-picture shots to show player reactions.

​

• A live feed was provided to Bowls Scotland for their Twitter / X account, allowing them to cut live clips to promote the event and the broadcast coverage on their social media platforms.

​

• Drone footage was also shot before and during the event for us to include in the live broadcast. These drone shots were used at the start and end of the coverage each day, as well as for beauty shots during games.

​

• The scope also included four large LED screens around the venue, with the live coverage, including commentary available to those attending the event throughout the week.​
